HOW DO I SEND MY GIFT?

It's easy -  

  1. Click to add the relevant gift to your despatchbox
  2. You will be asked for the delivery name and address and your own details
  3. You can pay by credit card or switch/solo
  4. Add your special message and delivery instructions

There is plenty of room in the message box and any special delivery instructions e.g.

You can abort your purchase or change your mind right up to finally keying in the payment details and confirming your order

New Service
From around April 2004 we shall be offering a full shopping service, where we source the products you would like.

Please email us at Diana@despatchboxes.com with any comments you have on the service – items you would like to see featured, or things you cannot access – we wonder if any of the following would be of help if you live in a difficult climate:

  • UK British standard approved items ( eg armbands for tiny swimmers)
  • Cotton baby clothes for tinies, and cotton undies for adults
  • Special dietary products e.g. gluten-free, vegetarian, diabetic or lactose-free products
  • Baby items, milks or organic foods, safety items for the home,
  • Particular skincare products,
  • Magazines, books, educational texts,
  • Pharmacy items, feminine hygiene and contraceptives
  • Luxurious items – caviar and champagne
  • Fun items – games and toys
  • Indulgent items – chocolate and marmite, pot noodles and coffee are all things which have been suggested.

Packaging
All gifts will be gift wrapped prior to despatch if required, with your individual message added.

We use bio-degradable chips for packaging delicate items which are not toxic and will degrade on contact with water.

All packages are carefully wrapped by our trained staff and promptly dispatched on receipt of cleared funds, (normally 3-4 working days after receipt of order).

We use Royal Mail Special Delivery for packages up to 2kg's which should ensure delivery by lunchtime following despatch to most UK mainland addresses.

Couriers
We have access to most worldwide couriers and we can send goods anywhere in the world, that a courier service can reach. We will need a home or office delivery address (a PO Box is not sufficient).

Remember we must comply with international regulations as to what may be sent where, but we will always try to help.

BFPO
All BFPO items are sent by Royal Mail BFPO service and charged at the Royal Mail standard rates.

The Falkland Islands
THE FALKLAND ISLANDS ARE A SPECIAL CASE - GENERALLY MAIL TAKES SIX WEEKS AND IS BY SURFACE MAIL.

Postal Strike
IF THERE IS A POSTAL STRIKE - DO NOT WORRY, WE CAN COURIER YOUR SPECIAL GIFTS WITH NEXT DAY DELIVERY TO MOST UK MAINLAND ADRESSES.
(CHANNEL ISLANDS, ISLE OF MAN AND SOME HIGHLAND AND ISLANDS ADDESSESS WILL TAKE LONGER).

No BFPO Address?
FOR EXPATS WHO DO NOT HAVE A BFPO ADDRESS - WE CAN COURIER YOUR GIFTS ABROAD OR TO YOU. PLEASE EMAIL US FOR RATES - WE ONLY USE RELIABLE CARRIERS SUCH AS Fed EX and UPS.
